Personal, Social, Relationship and Health Education (PSRHE)

A key driver for our curriculum is ensuring pupils are ready to learn by having emotional resilience, able to self-regulate and build high self-esteem.  We strive for ensure our children become independent, confident and responsible members of society. To enable this we provide our pupils with a wealth of personal, social, relationship and health education opportunities, which are weaved throughout our curriculum.  Our Code of Behaviour and Learning Behaviour Characters (Independent Indy, Enthusiastic Ellery and Resilient Rene) are tools used throughout the day, along with carefully planned direct teaching and assemblies delivered using the Jigsaw PSHE programme, ensure we meet the statutory requirements for Relationships and Health Education as well as supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.

The themes for each term as as follows:

  • Being Me in My World
  • Celebrating Difference (including anti-bullying)
  • Dreams and Goals
  • Healthy Me
  • Relationships
  • Changing Me

If you would like to see our progression map detailing the skills and knowledge taught in each year group please contact the school office and we will be happy to arrange this.
