Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium Grant is provided to schools to support the attainment and progress of disadvantaged children - as defined below - and the children who have had a parent in the armed forces at any point in the last 5 years (Ever5 Service Child) or are in receipt of a child pension from the Ministry of Defence.
A pupil is defined as disadvantaged if they have been either:
- eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years (FMS6)
- looked after continuously for one day or more (CLA) or
- adopted from care (Post-LAC)
The money is allocated to initiatives which ensure pupils reach their full potential both academically and socially. Here at Driffield Northfield Infant School we allocate a Key Worker to each of the pupils in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant, who works with Mrs Woolhouse, the Disadvantaged Champion, and families to plan and monitor individual targets for each child relating to their academic achievement, well-being and home/school links.
Please see below our latest plan showing how the Pupil Premium funding for this academic year will be used and how the impact will be measured.
